Someone makes a convincing cat. Someone else sounds like a broken kettle. That difference is the fun. In this independent Mimic Party experience, your group listens to the same sound, records an impression together, then hears each person's attempt before voting. Mimic Party does not require a singing voice, acting experience, or a perfect impression. You just need a microphone and a willingness to sound a little ridiculous.
Mimic Party brings your group onto an illustrated theater stage. Pick a character, choose a sound pack, and keep an eye on the countdown. Short rounds give everyone a turn in the spotlight without asking anyone to deliver a long performance. The Mimic Party podium celebrates the votes collected across the game, so one awkward opening round does not have to define your evening.

Start your Mimic Party by previewing a pack with the speaker button. Animals, Robots, Arcade, and Whistles each offer four different sounds, so you can choose a theme your friends will enjoy attempting. Add your nickname, choose a character, and create a private Mimic Party room. Share its invitation with your group. Everyone needs to join and enable their microphone before the host starts; the room shows who is ready and who still needs a moment.
In Mimic Party, a reference sound plays before your attempt. Listen for its rhythm and the way its pitch rises or falls. Countdown tones give you time to breathe, and the recording display marks the preparation, imitation, and finishing intervals. All players record during the same window. Follow the moving timeline rather than rushing at the first sign of motion, and use the finishing interval to complete your sound. Mimic Party stops recording for you.
Mimic Party plays the recordings one after another, with a name and progress indicator showing whose attempt you are hearing. Wait until the reveal is over, then vote for another player's performance. Your group decides what deserves recognition: a close impression, excellent timing, or an attempt that made everyone laugh. Mimic Party round results show the votes before the host moves on. At the end, the podium brings the final standings back onto the stage.

The Animals pack in Mimic Party brings cat, dog, cow, and rooster calls: familiar calls with plenty of room for surprising interpretations. A good starting point when your group wants to recognize the challenge immediately and spend less time wondering what to imitate.
Give Mimic Party a mechanical voice with the Robots pack. Listen for the clipped rhythm and changes in pitch, then try giving the sound your own mechanical personality. A flat delivery can be just as entertaining as an elaborate robot impression.
The Arcade pack in Mimic Party turns your voice into the sound effects department. Try matching the contour of a bleep or a playful flourish. The challenge is in the shape and timing, rather than simply being the loudest person.
Try slides, chirps, and swoops with the Whistles pack in Mimic Party. If whistling is not your talent, follow the shape with your voice. It is your group's performance to judge, and a creative interpretation can still earn a smile.

Rusty, Mochi, Bobo, Pip, and Nova are the five base characters in Mimic Party. Your choice follows you from the waiting room through recording, playback, and the final podium. A character is picked for you when you arrive, and you can change it before the game. Mimic Party lets friends choose the same character; the names above them keep each performance easy to recognize. Pick the one that feels like you, or the one that makes your next impression funnier.
Before your first Mimic Party countdown, get comfortable with your microphone and give each attempt enough space to be heard.
Headphones keep the Mimic Party reference and other players' recordings out of your microphone. Set a comfortable listening volume before the game, especially if several people are playing in the same room.
The Mimic Party countdown is preparation time. Wait for the imitation interval, then follow the sound's rhythm. You have a finishing interval at the end, so you do not need to cut off your last note abruptly.
In Mimic Party, a rise in pitch, a pause, or two short bursts can make an impression recognizable. Stay at a comfortable volume instead of pushing your voice. If an attempt feels strained, simplify it.
Listen through the full Mimic Party sequence before voting. Each person's name identifies their recording, and the progress indicator shows how many takes remain. A funny surprise may arrive with the very last performance.
Mimic Party on ChoicerVoicer is for three to five players in a private room. At least three people must join and everyone must be ready before the host starts. There is no single-player mode in this version.
Each player needs their own browser session, a microphone, and sound enabled. Headphones are recommended. Click the microphone button in the room and allow access when your browser asks; entering a nickname alone does not make you ready.
In Mimic Party, Unlimited means playing every sound in the selected pack once. Each current pack contains four sounds, so that choice gives you four rounds. Choosing a larger round count repeats from the start after the pack's sounds have all been used.
The players do. After the recordings play, each person can vote for another player's attempt. Votes build across rounds, and the final podium reflects the total. Matching the reference is part of the challenge, but the room chooses what it enjoys.
Yes. The host needs an active membership to create a room and to start a game. Creating a room costs no credits. Starting each complete game costs the host 15 credits, covering all its rounds. Invited friends join without a membership or credit charge.
After the Mimic Party final standings, the host can return everyone to the waiting room. Players get ready again before the next game. If the host closes the room, its invitation stops working and the group needs a new room.
Check your Mimic Party room's readiness message. You may still need to enable your microphone, wait for more players, or give another player time to get ready. The host can start once at least three people have joined and everyone is ready.
