Mimic Party plays a short reference sound, gives you a countdown, and records your impression right in your browser. Solo play needs no install and no account. Choose the number of rounds and a character. To play with friends, switch to multiplayer, add your nickname, create a private Mimic Party room, and share its invitation.
In Mimic Party, a reference sound plays before your attempt. Listen for its rhythm and the way its pitch rises or falls. Countdown tones give you time to breathe, and the recording display marks the preparation, imitation, and finishing intervals. Follow the moving timeline instead of rushing, and use the finishing interval to complete your sound. Recording stops automatically, and you can replay your take.
Solo Mimic Party shows a match score after every round and your average at the end. In a multiplayer Mimic Party room, the host picks the scoring method before the game: automatic scoring works with two or more players, while player voting needs at least three. Recordings play one after another, round results follow each sound, and the final podium shows the standings.
The match score is a playful measure of how closely your timing follows the original sound, not a judgment of your voice.
Mimic Party compares the rhythm and active duration of your recording with the reference sound. Matching the pauses, bursts, and length of a sound matters more than copying its exact tone.
The score does not recognize words or identify who is speaking. A creative impression with the right shape can score well even if it sounds nothing like the original voice.
If Mimic Party hears no sound in a recording, that take is not scored. You can still replay it, check your microphone, and try the round again.
